I had this company's out on February 11th because house wast heating,The technician that came out told me it was my filters even though there was cold air coming out of my vents. So I changed them and of course he charged me a service fee no problem. Less then 20 days later following our next cold spell same problem heater wasn't keeping up with the cold air. Called them again, said same problem told me that they would have to charge me service fee for the exact same problem. I have no problem paying a service fee one time. But when your technician didn't evaluate the problem properly the first time, you charge again. Too many heating and air conditioning companies around league City that will stand by there evaluation and not try to keep charging service fees. I would NOT recommend this company.

Your landlord called us to preform a service call at this location. we found the problem was an EXTREAMLY dirty filter... this causes the heater to over heat due to lack of air flow. we indeed charged a service/diagnostic fee for our visit... and yes you are correct we charged your landlord for the second trip as well because at that time you actually had a component inside the furnace fail more than likely due to the previous issue. my recommendation is to change your filter once per month. also what is a "diagnostic fee"??? it's nothing but a number.. we charged $150 to replace a thermal overload switch. here's a price breakdown.. $70 diagnostic fee $40 part & $40 labor.. Would you have felt better if instead we wrote on the invoice $0 diagnostic fee, $75 part & $75 labor? or what about if we're super nice and we only charged $150 for the part would you feel better then? next time that's what we'll do. a lot of other companies have a goal of +/-$400 for every service invoice because that's the amount some think tank came up with that an average customer with an AC problem is willing to easily pay... maybe next time we'll charge $375 for that "special ordered part" and since we're so nice only $25 labor... you should feel lucky that your landlord uses an honest company.

I am a very happy customer! They fixed my AC problem, and explained everything along the way, all at a very fair price. I will be calling Spears AC and Heating for all my future AC and Heating needs.

Best ac company I have dealt with in a long time and I'm a realtor I deal with them all the time. I'm saving their number I have found a company that gives great service explains the problem, prices are set and not based on commission. They came out right away and finished within minutes. First time using Spears - Waylon and Jordan did an excellent job. I had a leak from one of my units - that other services would simply blow out the drain. Waylon found the problem and told me my options. He cleaned the collected waste and stopped the leak. I will definitely use this company again. Have already scheduled a complete in and out cleaning for both units. And Waylon sings too. GREAT JOB!!!!

These folks do really good work at a fair price and rest assured they understand the meaning of good customer service. We look forward to a long relationship.. although we prefer it to be more about maintenance and a a beer when we run into you around town.

We experienced AC trouble on Sunday early evening. Steve was at our house at 10pm to see what was going on. Upon inspection, he determined our outside unit needed replaced. Stated they could be back by 8am the next day (Monday). His team arrived at 8am and had everything installed in 2.5 hours. Great service and I highly recommend.

It was June 30th, around 6pm when I noticed the House was a few degrees warmer that it normally should be. Gave it an hour to cool, went back and looked again and it was a few degrees warmer. Panic set in...it's Saturday night...no way this is getting fixed before Monday. Found Spears on Yelp and called. Arrived in a little over an hour. Took him a few minutes to diagnose the issue, switched out the Capisitor, and that was it. Cool air started blowing almost right away and within 90 min it was back to just the right temperature. It's been three weeks and :::knock on wood::: it's still working fine. This guy is amazing! Can't say enough good things about him. Prompt and trustworthy.

Our a/c quit working early morning on the 4th of July, needless to say it was hot! A friend recommended this guy to me so I called him and found out he doesn't run service calls were I live but said he could try to talk me thru troubleshooting the problem over the phone. He gave me some things to check and I called him several times, he answered each time and patiently walked thru different items to check until we found the problem and got the a/c running again. Doing something like this for a total stranger on a holiday is going above and beyond and is rare these days. When that dreadful day comes that this a/c kicks the bucket for good, I'm calling Spears to install the new system!!!

It's with a heavy heart that I'm adding this. On a Thursday I hired Spears to do a maintenance check on my AC. I said let me know when you can come, thinking he was coming the same day. Well after he didn't say anything about coming that day I just waited. The next day he sends me a text saying he will come in the afternoon and text me an hour before he comes. I said "OK" Well guess what? He never came and never sent me a text saying he couldn't make it. He was never like this. But to me it's disrespectful to not show or even send a text or phone call telling me he's not coming. So sadly I will no longer use him. There really is no excuse for doing this to a repeat customer.

I'm VERY!!!!! sorry for your bad experience.. It is indeed 100% my fault.. please understand that you had called me at a time when I was doing EVERYTHING my self.. I was answering my constantly ringing phone and doing my best to schedule calls while trying to do the job of fixing people's AC.. unfortunately the same thing happened to other customers as well in the summer of 2018.. this is why in September of 2018 I hired a secretary to answer my business line and schedule the calls. everything runs more smoothly now.. if you haven't already found another AC guy please give Spears AC another chance.. THANK YOU

Spears has been our "go-to" for several years. They installed completely new A/C & furnace system two couple years ago. Last winter was mild so we did not run the furnace for several days in a row. This year we have had it running continuously and it quit running. Spears tech, Moises came out late in the evening and got us going again. We are retired and needed the heat, thank for your great service.
